Directski.com, the online ski-holiday operator, has raised €500,000 in fresh investment as it bulks up for the winter season. The funding came from existing shareholders, ACT Venture Capital, the company founder Anthony Collins, and his father, Tony Collins, the owner of Topflight.
Directski had raised about €6m before the latest round, and has been backed by Enterprise Ireland, the state agency.
The company operates in Ireland and the UK, but has been hit by the slide in ski-holiday bookings in the downturn. It has deferred repayment of €3.2m in shareholder loans after losing more than €516,000 in the year to the end of April 2011.
