Eurozone fails to agree bailout for Greece

Eurozone finance ministers failed to approve a fresh €44 billion bailout for Greece last night amid discord among the creditors over Athens’s prospects of meeting its debt obligations on the schedule they set last year.

The emergency talks ended in the small hours with no deal reached. The finance ministers said in a statement that they would meet again next Monday “for further technical work on some elements of the package”.
